Royal Ambulance is seeking a tech-savvy and service-oriented IT Support Technician to join our growing Information Technology team. This role is critical in providing frontline support for our mobile technology needs. You will assist users in troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.) to ensure seamless and secure access to the tools they need to deliver exceptional care in the field. Responsibilities: Technical Support: Provide first-level support for mobile devices via phone, email, help desk tickets, or in-person. Assist users with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of devices and mobile applications. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues. Device Management & Security: Assist with deployment, configuration, and routine maintenance of mobile devices. Perform password resets, ensure data encryption, and support remote lock/wipe capabilities. Equipment Maintenance: Conduct basic repairs such as replacing screen protectors or rugged cases. Maintain charging infrastructure and accessory functionality. Procurement & Inventory: Order devices, parts, and accessories as needed. Track inventory, including assignments, repairs, and replacements to ensure accuracy and accountability. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain knowledge base articles and user guides. Log support activities and resolutions to ensure knowledge continuity and improve response efficiency. Qualifications: 1-2 years of IT support or helpdesk experience, preferably in a fast-paced, field-based environment. Strong working knowledge of mobile operating systems (iOS, Android) and device management tools. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms (e.g., Jamf, Intune, etc.). Knowledge of HIPAA or healthcare-related data security standards.
