About The Position

Primary responsibility: Instructing and directing band/music students in grades 5-8, including providing full group and small group instruction, preparing students for performances throughout the school year, and fostering musical growth and skill development. Secondary responsibilities are: Collaborating with district music staff; coordinating with West Music for beginning band recruitment; preparing students for voluntary ensembles and events (ILMEA, jazz band, pep band, Rt. 72 festivals); assessing student progress; and managing music materials, equipment, and inventory.

Requirements

  • Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois with a K-12 Music Endorsement
