About The Position
As a Junior Pet Stylist at Petco, you will play a vital role in providing professional bathing services to our furry companions. This entry-level position is designed for individuals who are passionate about animals and grooming, offering an excellent opportunity to start a career in the pet care industry. You will work under the guidance and supervision of experienced groomers, gaining hands-on experience and building essential skills in offering bathing and drying services. Your primary responsibility will be to perform bathing and drying services to dogs, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being during the grooming process. In this role, you will also assist groomers in providing a variety of grooming services, including brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and anal gland cleaning. Interacting with pet parents in a friendly and professional manner is crucial, as you will provide excellent customer service and address their grooming-related inquiries. You will be responsible for scheduling grooming appointments, managing paperwork, and maintaining accurate grooming records. Learning and following Petco's grooming policies, standards, and guidelines will be essential to ensure quality and consistency in all areas of the grooming business. Maintaining a clean and organized grooming area is another key aspect of your role, which includes disinfecting and sanitizing grooming tools and equipment, along with daily cleaning of the salon.
