About The Position

The Junior Graphic Designer at Hyatt plays a crucial role in supporting the Art Director by developing designs and collaborating across departments to create integrated marketing and brand-based graphic design. This position involves maintaining branding assets, designing print collateral, and producing marketing graphics for various platforms, all while ensuring high-quality execution and adherence to deadlines.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in graphic design, with at least 1 year in digital design.
  • Previous experience working in a digital, agency, advertising, or design environment.
  • Understanding of print production and file management, with an eye for flawless execution.
  • Strong sense of typography and graphic design.
  • Execution-driven creative with good communication skills across departments.
  • Proficient in Adobe CC - Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign.
  • Working knowledge of Canva.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects or Premiere for simple video edits.
  • Drawing and illustration skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; any other language is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Pragmatic approach with multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain the core branding assets, initiatives, and systems around the brand and properties comprehensively.
  • Work in collaboration with Marketing Directors, Managers, Art Director, and Sr. Designer to interpret and develop project directions.
  • Participate in department meetings as required.
  • Liaise with Art Director and internal stakeholders to discuss and understand briefs, develop concepts, interpret feedback, and deliver creative on time.
  • Design print collateral and set up production-ready print files.
  • Support the retail department with graphics, production files, and marketing assets.
  • Design marketing graphics for email newsletters and social media.
  • Edit photos and videos for social posts and reels.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and designs to briefs/requests.
  • Work with a wide range of media to produce artwork.
  • Ensure work is proofed to ensure high quality.
  • Stay up to date with design trends and tools.
  • Translate ideas into concepts for a non-technical audience.
  • Manage multiple projects and switch between them without missing deadlines.
  • Follow direction and tasks assigned.
