About The Position

The Junior Graphic Designer will be responsible for assisting the Production Graphic Designer on the design and production of high-quality digital and graphic materials to ensure the brand standards of Cahuilla Casino Hotel through all platforms from print to online messaging.

Requirements

Must have at least 2-year work experience, typically have an established portfolio showcasing their creative work, highlighting their design, color, typography, and layout skills.
Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
Strong eye for visual composition
Proficient in working with MAC platform in Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, CMS (content management system) and other software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills and work ethic
Solid organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Able to obtain and retain gaming license through the Cahuilla Tribal Gaming Agency.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, Visual Communication or a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Cahuilla Gaming License and submit to random drug/and or alcohol testing.
Ability to obtain a California Driver’s License.
Ability to complete necessary Casino Essentials courses to carry out the job responsibilities.
Ability to provide necessary required licenses or certifications for a specific position to ensure job is carried out safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

Maintains production of all promotional materials for the property ensuring consistency of branding in all creative aspects.
Assists and prepares layouts of advertisement signage for both on and off property.
Must have a creative and innovative thinking to develop fresh design concepts, graphics, and layouts.
Work closely with the Production Graphic Designer on contents and promotional updates for cahuillacasinohotel.com through WordPress platform.
Assists in the social media strategy to increase visibility and traffic across all social platforms.
Monitor all networking conversations to ensure they meet the brand guidelines and are addressed within 24 hours.
Must be efficient in producing graphic art and visual print collateral materials for promotions, advertisement, back of house and online.
Assist with coordinating with outside vendors on print production needs.
Ensure and prioritize workload to ensure that all projects are completed in a timely manner.
Promotes good inter-department relationships through effective communication.
Ability to work flexible schedule including various shifts as needed, holidays, weekends, and peak business times.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
