About The Position

The Junior Full Stack Developer position at the Office of the State Auditor involves developing and maintaining complex information systems and dashboards to enhance transparency for Utah taxpayers and government officials. Requirements

• At least two years of experience developing full-stack applications
• Proficiency in writing modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with PHP and Python (Flask, Pandas)
• Knowledge of database design and management (Big Query, Postgres, Firestore)
• Experience with server management and deployment
• Familiarity with Docker containerization of dashboards
• Understanding of web security best practices (SQL Injection, Cross-Site Scripting, etc.)
• Experience in building and deploying R Shiny dashboards (preferred but not required)
• Ability to use CLIs and work on Linux machines (ssh/remote)
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (GitHub & Google Cloud Build preferred)
• Ability to write code to interact with databases and information systems containing financial, healthcare, or geographical data
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships

• Experience in building and deploying R Shiny dashboards

Responsibilities

• Maintains successful operation of production cloud databases and applications
• Builds new dashboards, databases, and applications
• Cleans, analyzes, and summarizes data; conducts statistical analysis and interprets results
