About The Position

If so, we may have an opportunity for you! As a Junior Financial Manager, you will... Monitor and analyze the financial status of programs and interact with Program Managers and sponsor Fiscal Representatives. Use the Oracle Financial System in conjunction with Excel, to provide analysis of actual and projected costs for programs. Support project technical leads and provide ad-hoc reporting and support customer briefings as required. Prepare monthly financial reports as required per contracts. Prepare cost volume efforts for various sector new business initiatives. Assist the Program Managers in the interpretation of solicitation requirements and assist with the resource and procurement planning activities. Responsible for cost estimating and final cost proposal submission activities in the development of a compliant proposal package. Work with Laboratory procurement organizations to obtain sufficient basis of estimate information to support material and subcontract cost estimates. Analyze and utilize cost history as applicable. Provide support for a variety of program administrative functions including, financial oral presentations, working with Contracts Administrators on contractual/funding issues and forecasts, develop responsive documentation in response to customer inquiries, and supporting general business issues. Capable of creating written documentation pertaining to administrative issues. Provide support to SOM Management during preparation for Laboratory program reviews. Position will require regular interaction with senior management and government sponsors.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least one (1) year of professional experience in financial management, financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, or financial reporting.
  • Experience supporting a broad range of business and financial activities, including analyzing financial data and preparing reports for stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and support business decision-making.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with formulas, data analysis, and financial models.
  • The ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
