Requirements

Nice To Haves

Previous Heavy Civil Construction experience a plus
Knowledge of estimating takeoff tools

Responsibilities

Calculate costs based on blueprints, drawings, maps, or other reference materials provided by architects or engineers.
Utilize Bluebeam/Revit, Agtek, and Rhino to perform takeoffs of earthwork, concrete, and utilities
Compile estimates of labor costs and material costs to prepare bids for construction projects.
Communicate with vendors to obtain bids for materials and services needed for construction projects.
Review bids from vendors to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
Input takeoff information into HCSS
Assisting in selecting subcontractors or suppliers that meet specific project requirements.
Interpret plans and specs to communication project needs to the estimating team.
Work with Estimator/Senior estimator on project teams.
Attend pre-bid meetings.
Develop estimating meeting material books.
Learn and develop into an Estimator.
