The role involves reviewing project plans, preparing quantity takeoffs, and pricing various aspects of construction projects, while utilizing industry experience to develop accurate cost estimates reflective of local market conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience with estimation software such as Agtek Gradework, AutoCAD, HCSS HeavyBid, and Bluebeam Revu.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and the latest industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans and specifications, prepare quantity takeoffs and price all aspects of the project.
• Manage, organize and be a part of the overall bid and proposal process.
• Read, quantify and analyze construction documents across all trade disciplines.
• Estimate overhead components and use various system unit pricing across multiple trade disciplines.
• Perform system trade-off comparisons on a macro scale, including structural systems, mechanical systems, and foundations.
• Conduct conceptual estimates with limited design quickly, understanding the appropriate level of detail for stakeholders.
