About The Position

Junior Equity Salesperson – San Francisco We are seeking a Junior Equity Salesperson to join our Equity Research Sales team in San Francisco. While part of a large, global equities platform, this role is based in a small, entrepreneurial office on the West Coast. The successful candidate will need to be highly independent, proactive, and self-driven, with the ability to take initiative while staying connected to colleagues in New York and other global hubs. This role offers the best of both worlds: the resources of a leading global research sales platform and the hands-on experience of a smaller office, where you’ll gain early responsibility and visibility. It’s a chance to accelerate your career in equity sales while developing into a trusted client relationship manager. The expected base salary ranges from $100,000- $125,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in equity sales, equity research, or financial services (internships considered)
  • Strong knowledge of, and genuine interest in, equity markets and investment strategy
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills
  • Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working in a small office setting where independence is essential
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Series 7 & 63 preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Build and grow relationships with institutional investors across the region
  • Distribute equity research insights and investment ideas in a timely, impactful way
  • Partner with senior salespeople, traders, and analysts to drive client engagement and opportunities
  • Monitor market developments and company news to anticipate client needs
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy in San Francisco, while collaborating closely with the broader global sales team
