We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Electrical Engineer to join our team in supporting our Threat Systems Management Office customer. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between theoretical systems design and physical hardware integration. You will support the full systems engineering lifecycle from cradle-to-grave task management to validating high value engineering assets and participating in field activities.

Requirements

  • ABET accredited Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (EE) or a related Engineering discipline
  • 1-3 years of engineering related experience within the defense industry
  • Must have an in-scope DoW Secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Prototyping: Experience with RF circuit circuit and system design, schematic development, and commercial SDR radio systems including both signal generation and collection.
  • Testing: Experience developing test plans for electronic equipment.
  • Relevant Fundamental and Theoretical Knowledge: Electromagnetic theory, signal processing, communication theory, modulation and coding schemes, antenna theory.
  • Hands-on Aptitude: Familiarity with electrical circuits and the fabrication of RF system. Debugging of electronic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of RF waveforms for implementation into software defined radio systems such as GNU radio.
  • Hardware Integration: Support selection, integration, and test of RF system utilizing standard electronic lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
  • Requirement Development: Research relevant technical specifications, applicable standards, and technology maturation to support customer development of systems.
  • Collaborative Communication: Act as a liaison between OEMs and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve project bottlenecks and meet rigorous technical milestones.
  • Validation & Testing: Support rigorous validation tests and evaluations to verify system performance against technical specifications.
