About The Position

The Junior Digitization Specialist role at Anderson Technologies involves detailed and independent work focused on digital archiving. Requirements

• No previous digitization experience necessary, but theoretical or practical experience in library, museum, or collections settings may benefit this role.
• Some College experience preferred.
• Ability to follow documented processes and workflows and to adapt to changes in these processes based on individual project needs.
• Enjoys quiet, self-driven, independent work that requires looking at computer screens for most of the day. Able to achieve attainable weekly goals.
• Has a keen eye for accuracy and precision ensuring that each piece is accurately digitized, cataloged, and stored without errors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collections intake & preprocessing documents for capture
• Assist with labor associated with discovery/sample run
• Operate scanners to capture a variety of material types
• Perform QA on scanned Items and processed Items
• Perform image-related tasks such as crop, deskew, file rename, file export
• Upload and QA digital library platforms
