About The Position

Sinclair Manufacturing (a QNNECT Company) is looking for a talented Junior Design Engineer who will design conceptual, prototype and production components to meet our defense and aerospace customer requirements. You will also work with a team from other departments in identifying risk areas and potential design issues as well as potential solutions. You will also identify and create bills of materials and process engineering change request as well as, assist in establishing test plans and sales quotes. Requirements

  • Degreed mechanical engineer or equivalent experience with strong analytical, problem solving, mathematical and communication skills.
  • Solidworks training or equivalent.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to stand, talk, and listen.
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged period of time.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities by this job include close visions, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Responsibilities

  • Design conceptual, prototype and production components to meet our defense and aerospace customer requirements.
  • Work with a team from other departments in identifying risk areas and potential design issues as well as potential solutions.
  • Identify and create bills of materials and process engineering change request.
  • Assist in establishing test plans and sales quotes.
  • Solidworks proficiency.
  • Documentation control.
  • Customer correspondence.
  • Print reading/ Geometric tolerancing.
  • Part fixturing.
  • Become familiar with Sinclair’s QMS requirements as they relate to the engineering dept.
