The Junior Data Scientist will provide support to the customer to uncover and explain actionable insights from data by combining scientific method, math and statistics, specialized programming, advanced analytics, AI, and storytelling. The Statistician will work as part of a team of experienced statisticians, data scientists, data engineers, and data analysts to support advanced analytics projects for the F-35 program. You will work as part of a team with other contractors, government civilians, and military personnel in an agile environment.

Requirements

DOD Cyber Workforce (DCWF) 8140 (451) System Administrator role: A BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution fulfills the educational requirement for this WRC (conferred within 5 years or able to prove continuous relevant work experience) -OR- Personnel Certifications: Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC. If none, must be willing to obtain in first 30-days.
1-3 years of relevant experience required
Experience working with Python
Experience creating meaningful data visualizations and/or interactive dashboards using platforms such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, RShiny, plotly, and d3.js
Experience with data science methods related to data architecture, data munging, data and feature engineering, and predictive analytics
Superior communication skills, both oral and written
Demonstrated ability to use MS Office Suite to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Ability to interpret and incorporate data from multiple tool sources.
Analyze data sources to provide actionable recommendations.
Demonstrate the ability to frame and scale statistical problems to effectively analyze, visualize and find statistical solutions.
Ability to transform data and analysis into informative data visualizations and/or interactive dashboards.
Skill in developing or recommending analytic approaches or solutions to problems and situations for which information is incomplete or for which no precedent exists.
Responsibility for providing statistical support to the F-35 program, including data analysis, statistical modeling, and reporting.
Communicating statistical results and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
Interact professionally with clients/internal teams; gather requirements and document the work in a ticketing system, designing and implementing new feature additions and improvements.
Utilize industry standard tools such as Gitlab for code version control, project management, product requirements, and user documentation.
Work directly with the customer to gather requirements and product feedback for future iterations.
Support capabilities briefings for military personnel.
