About The Position

COLORS is a unique aesthetic music platform showcasing exceptional talent from all around the globe, focused on promoting the most distinctive new artists and original sounds. In the context of an increasingly fragmented and saturated scene, we seek to provide clarity and calm, offering a minimalistic stage to shine a spotlight on the artists and give them the opportunity to present their music without distraction. COLORS has succeeded in building a platform that has created a safe space for creatives to share their art and vision. We are currently looking for a talented & passionate Curation Manager - with a focus on the U.S. Market - to serve as one of our expert curators selecting artists & music for our COLORS shows, showcasing exceptional upcoming talent. You’ll assist on adding to our talent radar and provide a deep cultural understanding where music is going. If you have a passion for listening to and talking about all genres of music, this role is perfect for you.

Requirements

  • 3+ years work experience in music programming, A&R, or a related role
  • Has demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the US music industry as well as a variety of international music styles and genres
  • Is culturally connected, with a passion for artistic development.
  • Commercially aware and attuned to both the COLORS brand and the wider landscape of music, culture, art and lifestyle
  • Has the ability to use and visualize data to inform and drive decisions
  • Excellent communication skills and is approachable by nature
  • Have a profound network amongst emerging artists, producers, A&Rs and cultural voices to bring an artist at the right time to COLORS

Responsibilities

  • Research, identify, and recommend emerging artists, labels, and creative camps aligned with and challenge COLORS’ artistic vision and strategy.
  • Contribute in shaping long-term artist programming by monitoring trends, scouting and tracking new talent, and building relationships within the US music and creative ecosystem.
  • Maintain an alumni artist overview database to track past collaborators and inform future curation.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external teams to ensure seamless execution of all curation-related projects.

Benefits

  • An inspirational and motivational working environment with opportunity to proactively shape a company and build a global brand in music and culture.
  • A high degree of responsibility, professional autonomy, and creative freedom of expression.
  • Ongoing support from our People & Culture team, who coordinate key benefits and employee initiatives across Berlin, New York, and London.
