The Junior Computer Operator position at Koniag Data Solutions, LLC is a remote role that supports the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in their IT Modernization efforts. The role involves monitoring and controlling computer systems, providing Active Directory services, and supporting various operational and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively in a team environment and apply fundamental technical concepts to ensure the security and efficiency of computer networks and information.

  • Monitor and control electronic computer and peripheral electronic data processing equipment to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions.
  • Respond to operating and error messages, entering commands at a computer terminal and setting controls on computer and peripheral devices.
  • Provide Active Directory (AD) Services for various operational environments including HUD Headquarters and Cloud Environments.
  • Support Mainframe Support Services for hybrid operational environments.
  • Install, configure, administer, harden, patch, manage, operate, maintain, upgrade, and refresh the Mainframe environments.
  • Provide webcasting O&M Services and manage all webcasting capabilities.
  • Conduct pre-session testing to ensure end-to-end connectivity for webcasting events.
  • Collaborate with team members, contractors, and HUD internal and external users.
  • Support all aspects of the software development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, integration, and deployment.
  • Perform other O&M duties as assigned.
  • 0-2 years demonstrated experience of Active Directory Services.
  • 0-2 years demonstrated experience of Mainframe Support Services.
  • 0-2 years demonstrated experience of webcasting O&M Services.
  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work and communicate in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and frameworks.
  • Experience and knowledge in software development lifecycles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Federal consulting.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in computer and information technology or a related field.
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge and experience with HUD OCIO IOO.
