Our Junior Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager role offers the opportunity to work directly with senior commercial lenders, gain in-depth experience in portfolio management, and contribute to high-value lending strategies. You'll build expertise in credit administration and compliance while collaborating with an experienced commercial lending team committed to client success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • 1–5 years of experience in commercial lending, credit administration, or financial analysis preferred.
  • Understanding of credit principles and commercial loan documentation.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and initiative for continuous improvement.
  • Ability occasionally to work at various locations within driving distance.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 75% of an eight (8) hour workday.
  • Ability to review information and details at close range (within a few feet).

Responsibilities

  • Support Portfolio Management: Assist commercial lenders in managing new and existing commercial loan relationships.
  • Review Term Loans: Conduct annual reviews and collaborate on timely responses to loan review reports.
  • Manage Financial Documentation: Monitor receipt and routing financial statements to credit analysts and imaging systems.
  • Clear Exceptions: Help resolve financial, documentation, and insurance exceptions in accordance with bank policies.
  • Track Covenant Compliance: Calculate loan covenants and assist in tracking and resolving performance issues.
  • Respond to Customer Requests: Provide clients with post-closing items such as amortization schedules and documentation.
  • Coordinate Due Diligence: Work with commercial loan assistants to order credit reports, appraisals, UCC searches, and more.
  • Monitor Maturing Loans: Track upcoming maturities and ensure timely renewals and documentation collection.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with internal departments including credit, imaging, and compliance to streamline operations.
  • Assist with Special Projects: Support ad hoc initiatives or requests from management.
