About The Position
Northeast Precast is seeking a Junior CAD Technician to support our manufacturing and production teams. This entry-level role focuses on creating and modifying CAD models, assisting with CNC programming preparation, and supporting internal fabrication and prototyping efforts. This position is ideal for a recent graduate with education in CAD, mechanical design, or engineering technology.
Requirements
- Associate degree or technical education in CAD, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field
- Proficiency in at least one CAD platform (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, etc.)
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to CNC machining or CAM software
- Experience with 3D printing or prototyping
Responsibilities
- Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models
- Prepare drawings for internal manufacturing use
- Assist with CAM file preparation for CNC machining
- Support formwork and production aid design
- Collaborate with shop personnel to improve manufacturability
- Maintain drawing revisions and documentation
