Provide general purchasing support for the organization. The occupant of this position reports to Purchasing Manager and is expected to adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Requisition and manage supplies of raw materials, parts, office and general supplies and services for the organization.
Process purchases from inventory reorders in a timely manner.
Confer with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
Estimate values based upon knowledge of market price.
Verify, schedule, and track customer parts for outside vendor services.
Maintain computerized procurement records, such as items or services, cost comparison, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
Execute special projects and other duties as needed.
Requirements
Associate's Degree from accredited university or equivalent experience desired.
1-4 years of prior purchasing experience.
2 years purchasing experience (Required).
Business and analysis skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues and staff.
Ability to work independently and utilize good judgement.
Computer skills including MS Office, PowerPoint and other required programs.
Ability to recognize and ensure confidentiality is maintained in regards to business knowledge and personnel issues.
Ability to complete projects and assignments within agreed upon timeframes.
Demonstrate positive and proactive attitudes, practices and behaviors to ensure teamwork and organizational goal attainment.
