About The Position

The Junior Business Intelligence Analyst will support the Business Intelligence team by collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data to help guide operational and strategic decisions. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about data, analytics, and continuous learning. The analyst will work closely with internal departments such as Finance, Operations, IT, and Practice Support to deliver actionable insights and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our reporting infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in a data analytics or business intelligence role (internships or coursework acceptable).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, DOMO).
  • Familiarity with relational databases and willingness to learn SQL.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to healthcare or dental practice management systems.
  • Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms or data warehousing tools.
  • Understanding of KPIs and business operations in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as DOMO, Power BI, or Excel.
  • Support data extraction, cleaning, and transformation processes from systems such as DSN Cloud, NetSuite, Paycom, and Practice Management platforms.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts and business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and prepare summary findings to support departmental initiatives.
  • Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain documentation for reports, metrics definitions, and data processes.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Collaborate with IT, data engineering, and business teams to resolve data issues.
  • Learn and apply SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data as needed.
  • Monitor data quality and escalate discrepancies as needed.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, supporting team leads with data-related tasks and validation.
