About The Position

Tesis USA LLC is hiring candidates for a Junior Automation Engineer position in Northeast Houston. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a similar field, along with 1 to 4 years of experience in the electrical and automation industrial environment. Knowledge of low and high voltage systems, as well as the ability to read and understand electrical schematics, is essential. Candidates will be evaluated on their knowledge of Rockwell automation technologies, PLC programming, and HMI design.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or similar
• 1 to 4 years of experience in the electrical and automation industrial environment
• Knowledge of low and high voltage, power, and electrical supply on the production/industrial process
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
• Knowledge in Rockwell automation technologies (Allen Bradley), PLC programming, and HMI design
• Proven initial experience in electrical cabinet mounting, terminations, and conduit
• Conduct routine tests, evaluate plant machinery, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues
• Maintain sensors and critical process production equipment
• Ensure proper communication of equipment with PLC
• Maintain strict maintenance schedules for critical systems
• Use diagnostic tools for the analysis of automation problems
• Knowledge of PLC and HMI communication networks: Profinet, Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus DP, Modbus Plus, etc.
• Advanced level knowledge of hardware/software for SCADAs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical field activities
• Perform electrical commissioning
• Troubleshoot, enhance, and support the electrical field engineering team
• Ensure quality and compliance to parameters and codes
• Interact with electrical engineers and staff members to identify, define, and resolve developmental issues
• Specify materials for procurement and monitor material procurement processes to ensure timeliness
• Review and interpret design drawings and specifications to ensure correct technical execution of the work
• Understand electrical schematics and locate equipment in the production area
• Use electrical tools to understand issues and correct them
