About The Position

The Junior or Full Associate Producer at Simon & Schuster Audiobooks will support producers in all aspects of audiobook production. This role requires excellent writing and communication skills, along with a passion for books and audio. The Associate Producer will assist in the production of audiobooks, including preparation for recording sessions, script review, research, and arrangements with authors and actors. The position also involves backup support during recording sessions and post-production processes, with the expectation that the Associate Producer will quickly be able to take on more responsibilities such as script editing and directing.

Requirements

• College degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in publishing and/or creative production.
• Proficiency with computers, both Macs and PCs.
• Familiarity with database programs, Excel, Acrobat, and file formatting.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Strong writing and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in audiobook production or related fields.
• Familiarity with audio editing software.

Responsibilities

• Assist producers in the production of all Simon & Schuster audiobooks.
• Prepare for recording sessions, including script review and research.
• Coordinate arrangements with authors and actors.
• Serve as backup to producers during recording sessions and post-production.
• Involved in casting and coordination of manuscripts and studio scheduling.
• Provide onsite support during recording sessions.
