About The Position

You will work with a highly creative, collaborative team dedicated to innovative problem solving and design excellence. We seek an energetic self-starter to join us and work on a range of client accounts for retail, healthcare, office, warehouse, mixed-use, and residential projects. Ideal candidates possess experience in the role, are team players, and are customer service oriented, task-focused, diligent, versatile, and efficient. Comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously are important qualities for our staff.

Requirements

  • Architectural degree from an accredited university.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in production and coordination of documents in all phases of architectural practice.
  • Experience in commercial, healthcare, and industrial architecture. Residential multifamily experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must. Revit experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in multiple phases.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in development and documentation standards for design and construction drawings.
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to coordinate projects with team members and consultants for conflicts and discrepancies.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of CAD and Revit software.
  • Knowledge of best practices for implementing professional quality drawings.
  • Understanding technical terminology of the architectural and construction industry.
  • Ability to prepare complex plans, elevations, and details.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable building codes for independent code analysis and compliance.
  • Experience in reviewing submittals and shop drawings during construction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop technical drawings throughout all phases of a project.
  • Provide experiential and technical knowledge to solve design and construction issues.
  • Communicate priorities to both internal and external project teams.
  • Ensure quality for work products.
  • Develop and enforce CAD/Revit standards.
  • Assist the Principal in preparing project schedules and implementing the project work plan.
  • Interact with outside consultants and agencies.
  • Work with a team on larger projects.
