About The Position

Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Junior Application Administrator to work for our company. Summary: Client Agency is the Defense Logistics Agency. Install, configure, and maintain enterprise application software. Perform application upgrades and patching in accordance with change management processes. Support application deployments and code release cycles. Troubleshoot and resolve application-layer incidents (break/fix). Coordinate with infrastructure and database teams while maintaining segregation of duties. Identify and document application-specific firewall and network requirements. Configure and administer interfaces and APIs. Support data center migrations and modernization initiatives. Research and remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities identified through routine scanning. Support organizational transformation efforts impacting supported applications.

Requirements

  • Must possess IT-I security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC). (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies).
  • Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements.
  • 1–3 years of IT experience in application support, systems administration, or related field.
  • Experience supporting applications in Linux environments (Windows exposure required).
  • Familiarity with Oracle databases; exposure to SQL Server.
  • Experience with WebLogic preferred; IIS, Tomcat/Apache experience beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of Bash and PowerShell scripting (Perl a plus).
  • Understanding of patching processes, release management, and structured change control environments.
  • Basic networking knowledge (ports, protocols, firewall rules).
