About The Position

Junior Analyst Duties & Responsibilities Sample responsibilities for this position include: Prepare reports in Navy ERP, an SAP product. Participate in the quarter-end reporting process, analyzing results, and compiling logs Assist with internal requests and compile necessary KSDs as required Be involved in various projects as required and prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis for the client as requested Interface to geographically dispersed stakeholders and program leads Initiate, maintain and improve relationships with stakeholders in locations Prepare and edit PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets Assist on special projects related to accounting activities that may involve coordinating and collating questionnaires from local entities, reviewing and following up on responses Ability to: Effectively problem solve, analyze information and present sound recommendations; Perform complex mathematical and analytical calculations; Research and resolve financial discrepancies; Prepare reports and conduct presentations for a variety of audiences; Effectively communicate complex concepts and detailed information; Handle multiple priorities simultaneously; Prioritize workload and meet critical deadlines; Provide lead direction and technical support to staff when required; Exercise sound judgment within established policies and procedures; Work effectively with client staff and stakeholders; Utilize computer technology for communication, data gathering and reporting; Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work;

Requirements

  • TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or closely-related field of study required
  • Advanced Excel skills (ability to use complex formulas a must)
  • US Citizen with ability to attain a Secret clearance
  • Must be able to work three days per week at customer site in Falls Church, VA

Nice To Haves

  • Existing background in federal accounting space and/or DoD FM environment
  • Previous experience in SAP and its business intelligence platforms
  • Previous experience in automation applications like Power BI, Power Query and Power Automate
  • Previous experience with Defense Travel System (DTS) and other DoD wide applications
