Team Submarine’s Submarine Program Offices are responsible for: The acquisition of COLUMBIA Class Submarines and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) of the class. The program is a major defense acquisition program and is of significant political importance with Congress and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). The acquisition of VIRGINIA Class Submarines and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E), Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E), and Fleet introduction of the U.S. Navy’s newest class of nuclear attack submarines. The program is a major defense acquisition program with a total life cycle cost of approximately $336B. Additionally, successful improvement of the Class’s capabilities is of significant political importance with Congress and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). The SSN(X) Office is responsible for the acquisition and design of the future fast attack submarine and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) of the future submarine. The future Attack Submarine will be designed to retain multi-mission capability and sustained combat presence in denied waters with a focus on greater speed, stealth, and horizontal payloads and salvo rates. You must have a Secret clearance. Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for their Team Submarine contract supporting the acquisition of submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force. Serco-NA is seeking a motivated individual to provide administrative, anaylitical, operational, and financial coordination support to the Submarine/Maritime Industrial Base Director in PEO SSBN supporting the Program Manager (PM) in their efforts related to the Maritime Industrial Base (MIB). This individual will assist in supporting the PM who oversees several contractors that are involved in industrial workforce engagement, supply chain sustainment, financial performance oversight, and advanced technology engagement across the submarine and shipbuilding industrial base. MIB has been tasked to address the industry that supports the construction and maintenance of the nation’s submarines and other maritime ships. Each of these directorates under the SES operate remotely across the US and manage the efforts of several subject matter experts who are dispersed in various locations. You will be entrusted to assist in the management of calendars, contacts, travel, correspondence, action items, performance documentation, analsysis of information, and various administrative and financial workflows in a fast-paced and dynamic environment supporting numerous personnel operating remotely across the US. This position will be onsite at the Washington Navy yard supporting the PM with hybrid option depending upon the PM’s schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Business Administration, or Accounting
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must have a current Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Previous experience in supporting Navy or DoD-related programs.
  • Experience with Navy money appropriations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Active NMCI account and CAC (Common Access Card) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Office Management: Organize and manage office operations and procedures, including scheduling, correspondence, filing, and data entry to ensure efficient day-to-day operations supporting executive and financial workflows.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare, proofread, and enhance documents, presentations, reports, and data-driven worksheets by applying formulas and structured formatting to clearly display information supporting business processes and project objectives.
  • Analysis: Conduct analysis lveraging EXCEL and other tools on verious databases to determine trends, find efficiencies, and prensent information in a logical manner.
  • Meeting Coordination: Schedule and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking action items to ensure effective communication and follow-up.
  • Travel and Expense Management: Arrange travel logistics and process travel expense reports with accurate recordkeeping to ensure adherence to company policies and support audit readiness.
  • Communication Support: Act as a point of contact for internal and external communications, including handling inquiries, directing calls, and distributing correspondence.
  • Project Assistance: Provide administrative and financial coordination support to various projects, including maintaining project documentation, validating data in tracking worksheets, identifying discrepancies, tracking deadlines, among other project-related tasks, to strengthen operational efficiency and improve workflow consistency across the enterprise.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality, in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Supplies Management: Manage office supplies inventory, ensuring the availability of necessary materials and placing orders as needed.
  • Financial Data Integrity: Maintain and validate financial documentation across systems to support audit readiness, ensuring all figures, records, and supporting files are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with Navy program requirements.
