About The Position

The Strategic, Defense, and Shareholder Advisory team focuses on advising clients with respect to shareholder activism, raid defense, and related situations. Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Analyst for a specialist team within the Strategic Advisory business focused on shareholder engagement, corporate governance, and investor relations in New York, NY.

Requirements

• 1 year or less of relevant work experience (junior analyst preferred).
• An excellent, team-based attitude.
• Relentless work ethic and high energy level.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with CRM systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Calm under pressure with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Intellectual curiosity and an interest in finance and corporate governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide value-add analysis and research as part of a specialist team within the Strategic Advisory business.
• Create client presentations regarding shareholder engagement, corporate governance and sustainability practices.
• Track related trends and best practices.
• Help drive corporate governance and shareholder engagement projects.
• Create related materials for use in client presentations, internal meetings and marketing initiatives.
• Work in a team environment within Evercore's Activism and Raid Defense practice.
