Requirements

  • Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Up to 2 years of the required education may be substituted with qualifying full-time, professional-level experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in budget analysis, financial analysis and reporting, legislative/policy analysis, data analysis, or contract/grant administration.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with analysis and building an understanding of department policy priorities.
  • Work with elected officials and keep track of relevant local, state, and federal legislation and regulations.
  • Develop budget proposals and financial models, track City revenues and expenditures.
  • Perform account reconciliation for budget period closing and present analysis to stakeholders.
  • Support the facilitation of informal and formal bid processes.
  • Review department compliance with new and existing contracts.
  • Conduct data queries from a variety of databases and perform data analysis.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports to various funding agencies.
  • Review and analyze internal and external budget requests.
