Junior Account Executive, Content (Film, TV, Streaming, Entertainment)

Sunshine Sachs Morgan & LylisLos Angeles, CA
$50,000 - $50,000Onsite

About The Position

Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis is a leading global communications agency built to navigate the complexities of a hyper-connected world. We represent the icons and innovators shaping culture—from global heritage corporations and high-growth tech startups to the non-profits, creative legends, and visionary founders who define the global discourse. Our expertise spans the full cultural spectrum. We operate at the intersection of entertainment, social impact, corporate reputation, and consumer lifestyle, executing seamlessly across traditional media, social-first outlets, brand partnerships, and influencer ecosystems. Whether we are navigating complex crisis management, elevating advocacy campaigns, or launching global consumer brands, we are storytellers at our core. You may notice our digital presence is purposefully understated. While our clients are global household names, we believe the best work happens when the spotlight stays firmly on those we represent. We fly under the radar by design - preferring to let our campaigns, and our results, speak for themselves. If you're driven, intentional, and ready to do good, we're ready for you! Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis has an immediate opening for a high-energy, entertainment-obsessed Junior Account Executive in our Los Angeles office. You have had a solid start in the industry (about 1–2 years , including high-level internships) and you are ready to apply your skills to the world of film and television. You don't just watch content; you are obsessed with how it breaks through the noise to become a cultural phenomenon. We are looking for a modern storyteller who understands that in 2026, the path to a successful release is found in the social zeitgeist as much as the trades. You have the organizational rigor to keep a fast-moving account on track, the curiosity to identify emerging digital trends, and the writing skills to help draft the narratives that get people talking. The Role:

Requirements

  • The Ambitious Apprentice: You have 1–2 years of experience in PR or communications, with a focus on entertainment. You are eager to move past the basics and take on more ownership of client deliverables.
  • Digitally Fluent: You live on social media and understand the creator economy. You know which platforms are driving conversation right now and can translate that knowledge into a smart pitch or brainstorm idea.
  • High EQ: You possess high EQ and situational awareness. You know how to communicate effectively with senior staff, handle the fast-paced nature of a premiere or junket, and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
  • A Strong, Fast Writer: You are a concise and creative writer. You understand the difference between a traditional press release and a punchy email pitch that actually gets an editor’s attention.
  • Incredible Organization: You have an eagle eye for detail. To you, a typo in a talent briefing note or an outdated contact on a media list is a missed opportunity for excellence.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: You are proactive. You don’t wait to be told what to do; you look for ways to be helpful and bring fresh, out-of-the-box ideas to every film and TV brainstorm.

Responsibilities

  • Active Storytelling Support: Support the execution of 360-degree release campaigns for a roster of film, TV, and streaming clients. You will move from list-building to active pitching, securing your own wins across entertainment blogs, digital outlets, and local media.
  • Industry & Cultural Radar: Act as the team’s eyes and ears. You are responsible for daily monitoring of the trades (Deadline, Variety, Hollywood Reporter) and social platforms to flag "vibe shifts," casting news, and competitor campaigns that our clients need to know about.
  • Modern Research & List Management: Own the foundational research that fuels our strategies. You will build and maintain meticulously researched media and creator lists that reflect the actual modern landscape—identifying the right voices for everything from a niche indie film to a global streaming series.
  • Content Creation: Draft the first versions of creative pitches, press releases, and talent briefing notes. You are learning to write in a variety of voices and can produce clean, persuasive copy under tight deadlines.
  • The Engine of the Account: Manage the daily essentials of your accounts—agendas, meeting recaps, activity reports, and sample tracking—with total precision. You ensure the Account Executive and Manager have exactly what they need to succeed.
  • On-the-Ground Logistics: Provide essential support for press junkets, red carpet premieres, and festival screenings. You handle the logistics—talent check-ins, RSVP management, and on-site media wrangling—with a professional and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Relationship Driven: You recognize that the entertainment business is built on trust. You lead by example in how you treat your co-workers, talent reps, and the media—prioritizing integrity and professional poise from day one.
