PURPOSE OF POSITION To assist a Judge with research, writing, scheduling, and organization necessary to maintain and dispose of cases that are presented to the Courts for resolution. BACKGROUND/SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS A Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school is required. Must be able to perform legal research and write summaries and conclusions. Computer skills are necessary. Physical considerations. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone and in writing. The individual must use a computer and, therefore, must possess finger dexterity and be able to interpret a computer monitor. Must be able to access file drawers; therefore, some bending, reaching and stooping may be necessary. Must be able to read legal research materials. The individual works in an office environment.
