About The Position

Tactica Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced and qualified Facility Engineer for a Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance (SETA) contract supporting the Joint Task Force Gold (JTF-Gold), Logistics Directorate J4.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience supporting Government customer(s) within the Department of Defense (DOD) community.
  • Must have a Secret Clearance to start.
  • Develop, update, track, and brief Integrated Master Schedule.
  • Knowledge of NEPA processes, procedures, scheduling development, and tracking.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and providing timely and accurate contract deliverables (e.g. monthly status reports, trip reports, slide presentations, project updates, integrated master schedules, etc.).
  • Must have the capability to supervise and manage subordinate personnel including, but not limited to, professionally mentor and counsel employees, timecard reviews/approvals, conduct performance evaluations, ensure training requirements are completed, and coordinate with corporate resources to resolve discrepancies.
  • Proficient working in a demanding and flexible environment and demonstrated ability to effectively organize, prioritize, delegate, and task transition.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be highly proficient using MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project, Teams, Outlook) with the capability to coordinate with and brief high-level military, USG, subcontractor, vendor, and supplier personnel.
  • Capable of planning, participating in and leading conference calls, technical interchange meetings, impromptu updates, and preparing comprehensive meeting minutes.
  • Ability and willingness to travel in support of customer requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently adjudicated Top-Secret Clearance/SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Military rank and grade structure, government civilian pay scale equivalencies, regulations, and other organizations.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing the Military Construction Project Data Sheet (DD Form 1391) to include drafting requirements and justifications.
  • Familiarity with the Department of the Defense Construction and Non-appropriated-Funded Construction Program Development and Execution and Joint Facilities Management.
  • General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) data management tool familiarity.
  • Enterprise Real Property Interactive Space Management Systems (ePRISMS) platform knowledge.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Active security clearance with current investigation, a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to achieve engineering, environmental, and logistical objectives, and mission goals.
  • Review, interpret, and comment on engineering specifications, drawings, diagrams, and work instructions to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Provide technical and/or administrative recommendations to resolve issues in a timely and fiscally responsible manner.
  • Maintain, track, and report the status of construction upgrades, renovation, modification, modernization, sustainment, and maintenance repair orders within government owned or occupied facilities.
  • Perform routine facility maintenance inspections, in-progress Quality Assurance checks, and audits to determine condition levels, assess final work product(s) against requirements documentation to verify results meet customer expectations, and report findings.
  • Lead preventative and corrective action efforts, conduct root cause and statistical analyses and report findings.
  • Identify, monitor, and control risks, develop and implement risk management plans that establish probability and consequence including appropriate elimination, transference, mitigation, or acceptance strategies.
  • Establish, collaborate, and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent J-4 in Military Construction (MILCON) planning and design charettes.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
