About The Position

The JSOW & NSM Finance Team within the NAM Finance organization is seeking an experienced Finance Lead based in Tucson, AZ supporting and leading both the JSOW and NMESIS program areas. The successful candidate will build and lead a team in tactical and strategic management across multiple contracts. This includes program cost control, compliance, and execution of the existing backlog. Additionally, this position offers the opportunity to support the capture of new business over the Long-Range Plan with tremendous growth potential. As the Team Lead, you will be a key member of the Program & Finance Leadership Team and will be responsible for leadership and influence of the various functional teams, along with forming partnerships with your internal and external customer. You will be responsible for all aspects of the financial portfolio with one direct report. This includes reviewing FP&A forecasts, manpower reporting / operational workforce planning, development of the annual operating plan & long-range plan, Estimate at Completes (EACs), Short Range Outlook (SRO) Risk & Opportunities analysis, funding analysis, customer deliverables, proposals, negotiations, and program gate support. This position requires strong soft-skills, proactive leadership, and significant partnership with the Program Directors, Program Managers, and technical teams. Ensure alignment regarding business strategy, operations execution, meeting tactical and strategic financial objectives, and as well as being responsible for all elements of the financial interaction with internal and external customer representatives. This position is onsite/hybrid in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or related field or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years finance or accounting experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience
  • Experience supporting proposal development and program start up activities
  • Experience supporting the development of the long range and annual operating plans
  • Experience developing Estimate at Completes
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a Secret security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Responsibilities

  • Successfully partner and influence the program team to help meet financial goals & commitments, support proposals, and assist in execution strategy discussions
  • Direct supervision and management of one (1) direct report
  • Drive the financial planning activities across the program including FP&A Rplan updates/analysis and communication back to the program on how performance impacts BSEC (Bookings, Sales, Earnings, & Cash)
  • Short Range Outlook (SRO) Risk and Opportunities experience
  • Collaborate with Program Directors & Managers to manage the JSOW and NSM MESIS business portfolio
  • Be an integral program team member working closely with leadership, to ensure accurate measurement, control, and understanding of reported costs and schedules
  • Support the team of program financial analysts in the development of quarterly EACs
  • Ability to work multiple contracts and programs across different customers
  • Non-contractual Earned Value Management experience available
  • Support proposal development and program start up activities
  • Support the development of the long range and annual operating plans
  • Lead and develop a team of finance analysts
