About The Position

Valiant is looking for a JRTC Role Player to join our team!   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Primary duties and responsibilities of the Role Player are to support Military Augmentees, Opposing Forces, Special Forces in various scripted and unscripted roles as local population, members of the Police Force, or Host Nation Security Forces. Role Player responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Require routine wear of replicated uniforms and associated equipment. Individuals routinely perform role-play duties while in an outdoor, field-type environment, with limited services and under austere conditions; performing all other duties as required consistent with this occupational specialty. Must be physically fit and able to walk up to two miles unassisted between villages and towns while wearing a police or military uniform, MILES gear, helmet, rucksack, and other assorted military or law enforcement equipment (example: replica rifles and pistols). Role Player routinely uses military forms and maps; frequently uses mobile radio communications; supervises and performs maintenance on all assigned equipment and vehicles. Must be able to operate a computer to blog and perform other social media applications.  Must be capable of working both day and night shifts as scheduled; must train and become proficient in military map reading; must become proficient in military communications procedures; the phonetic alphabet, call signs, and acronyms.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION REQUIRMENT:  High School or equivalent diploma
  • Must be able to work on the Fort Polk Military Installation.
  • Have working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Proficient at operating a computer and smart phone, blogging, texting, and perform other necessary social media applications.
  • Must be able to be instrumented using either MILES or IPDD systems in accordance with the needs of the Joint Readiness Training Center
  • Must be able to speak clearly and calmly while using radio communication systems.
  • Must be able to perform routine foot patrols over several hours.
  • Must be able to work irregular hour shifts; length of shifts may vary up to 16 hours as required by the JRTC
  • Must be able to travel unaccompanied throughout the continental US and foreign countries.  
  • Must possess a valid Louisiana State Driver’s License (or other state equivalent).
  • Individual must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening.
  • Must be in good physical condition capable of prolonged standing and walking up to 2 miles over uneven terrain
  • must be able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
