The Senior Army JROTC Instructor is assigned within the high school Army JROTC program. The Senior Army Instructor is directed by the Principal and Vice Principal to properly instruct cadets and manage the JROTC unit in accordance with military regulations and district policies and procedures. The position requires the development of a schedule for the year reflecting school activities and HSROTC objectives and activities, including Cadets in the planning phase and organizing Cadets and resources toward the objectives. The instructor will perform administrative tasks, maintain electronic student records, provide enrollment and other student reports as required by the appropriate military service, and meet school administrative requirements. The instructor will also carry out logistics tasks, prepare requisitions, maintain federal supply operations, enroll and retain new students, and prepare Cadets for career or college to ensure they graduate high school. Additional responsibilities include visiting feeder schools, teaching HSROTC Cadets, achieving curricular requirements, continuously improving instruction, counseling and mentoring students, assisting with scholarship applications, participating in staff meetings, and conducting hands-on training.
