What you'll own: The Junior Web Developer is responsible for supporting the Marketing team in the execution and maintenance of LoanPro’s web properties. Working under the mentorship of the Web Developer, this role will focus on turning design mockups into functional web pages, managing content updates within our Headless CMS, and ensuring high code quality through rigorous QA. This is a growth-oriented role for a "Builder" who has a solid foundation in coding and a hunger to master modern web technologies (React, Python, AWS). You will exemplify excellent customer service and the Company core values, culture, policy, and procedures at all times.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of web development experience (internships and personal projects included).
  • Core Coding Languages: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Framework Exposure: Familiarity with React or similar JS frameworks.
  • Tooling: Basic understanding of Git/Version Control, NPM, and Package Management.
  • Design Eye: Ability to take a Figma/Adobe XD file and replicate it in code with high attention to detail (pixel perfection).
  • Portfolio: A portfolio of web projects (school or freelance) demonstrating clean code and responsive design.
  • Soft Skills: High level of curiosity, "figure it out" attitude, and ability to receive feedback and iterate quickly.
  • Communication: Fluency in the English language (speak, read, and write) required. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Agility: Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Problem Solving: Innovation and problem-solving skills that include the ability to develop and propose solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Python, Typescript, or Headless CMS environments (Strapi).
  • Basic knowledge of SEO best practices and web performance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Deep Learning: Takes ownership of deep learning about our software, its functions, how it fulfills our customers' needs, and how they use the product.
  • Front-End Execution: Translate UI/UX design wireframes into high-quality code (HTML, CSS, SCSS, JS) that aligns with the established architecture.
  • CMS Management: Manage and update content via our Headless CMS (Strapi), ensuring the marketing team can move fast without breaking the build.
  • QA & Troubleshooting: Conduct routine QA testing across browsers and devices to identify bugs; execute fixes and performance improvements promptly.
  • Marketing Support: Quickly turnaround requests for landing pages, email templates, and web assets to support marketing campaigns.
  • Documentation: Assist in maintaining technical documentation for code, APIs, and development processes.
  • Conversion Optimization: Assist in implementing A/B tests and tracking scripts (GTM/GA4) to support the conversion rate optimization process.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with designers to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation.
  • Onsite Work: An essential function of this role requires onsite work to collaborate with other team members. Remote work can be conducted at the manager's discretion and in accordance with company hybrid policy.
