We Take Care of Our Team This position offers: Starting pay of $25.30/hr. up to top pay of $35.71/hr. What You Drive at DTNA Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, the use of machinery, following standardized work procedures and the willingness to communicate with other’s for continued growth Disassembler parts to recognize opportunities for future recovery or repair Design & create prototypes Sketch blueprints (reverse engineer) Repair & replace parts as needed in other departments Prioritize workload as projects arise Read blueprints, set-up and use of Equipment (shear, brake press, saw, welder, mills, lathes, and air tools) selection of tooling & material required for project. Able to use and read tape measure, micrometers, protractor, scale, calipers and gauge blocks for measurement. Install and assemble components needed for completion of the request Use computer systems to access drawings (Team Center), email, Word, Home page, SWI’s, Micro Main, internet (for quoting) and Project Request database (used for tracking and documentation) Perform cast and/or aluminum weld repairs Surface preparation of components Daily maintenance of machinery Use Arc welder and electrode rods to perform tack and bead welds Use oxygen/acetylene torch for cutting metals Operate hand and power tools to grind, bevel, fit metals together and remove slag Select proper electrodes and holders Regulate current and time May operate crane or hoist to move materials Produce products that are uniform and meet specifications Build jigs when needed to build a quality product, repeatedly Knowledge You Should Bring Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power & hand tools and other equipment in the area. Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds . Must maintain a clean work area. Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures Cross train on other jobs as required Exceptional Candidates Might Have Previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment Blueprint knowledge, experience operating a Mill/Lathe, gauge experience and computer skills.
