If you are aiming to grow your career within buildings / vertical structural design engineering, then our Jr. Structural Engineer opportunity will provide you with a fulfilling position, having you provide valuable design insight on our Commercial, Industrial, Institutional, and Life Science structural design projects. This position is based in our Raleigh, NC office.

  • Collaborate with teams of engineers, designers, and drafters to complete project deliverables.
  • Coordinate design work with other engineering disciplines.
  • Meet client expectations for budget and schedule while delivering a quality product.
  • Increase proficiency in relevant design, modeling, and analysis software applications such as RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, STADD, Enercalc, SteelSmart, Simpson CFS Designer, RISA, and Revit.
  • Increase your knowledge of local codes and industry standards.
  • Assist with budget estimates and write-ups for proposals.
  • B.S. Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering.
  • M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred.
  • EIT certificate is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of relevant structural design engineering experience (Concrete, Steel, Masonry, Wood).
  • If you are a recent graduate, internship experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards and construction practices is required.
  • Strong time management and communication skills, verbal and written.
