About The Position

SpaceX is looking for passionate, experienced individuals looking to join our culinary team! The Jr. Sous Chef plays a crucial role in the culinary department by overseeing kitchen inventory, focusing on food preparation set up.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 3+ years of sous chef or culinary management experience

Nice To Haves

  • Sushi kitchen experience
  • Degree in culinary arts
  • High volume production and catering experience
  • Proven ability to create innovative menus on a daily basis
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Possess a creative spirit and ability to make the culinary experience part of the SpaceX culture

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor inventory levels and ingredients
  • Assist in establishing menu specifications
  • Maintain quality by ensuring products are prepared according to guidelines
  • Enforce food quality
  • Ensure safety of physical kitchen and café space
  • Assist with and distribute work schedules
  • Oversee front of house food preparation
