This position involves working under the guidance of senior solution architects to design and implement innovative banking and digital solutions for FIS clients, including banks, credit unions, and FinTechs. The role requires collaboration with various teams to define solutions that meet client needs and support FIS's growth in the financial technology sector.

  • Work with sales teams and clients to create solution architecture and design for their requirements under the guidance of a senior solution architect.
  • Apply architectural and engineering concepts to design solutions that meet operational requirements such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability, and manageability.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales proposals, RFPs, RFIs, and value propositions for multiple client engagements.
  • Support client demonstrations and product deep-dives.
  • Assist in the technical design of complex systems.
  • Run workshops for clients to maximize FIS's solution value, in collaboration with senior solution architects.
  • Create Solution Architecture documents outlining the end-to-end solution.
  • Contribute to product strategy, market requirements, and Go To Market plans in collaboration with product management teams.
  • Maintain and enhance the FIS Banking Domain and capability models by identifying whitespace and evaluating partner or third-party solutions.
  • BS in Computer Science or BA in Business or related field required or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services systems with introductory knowledge of retail and commercial banking.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience with Object Oriented Design and Programming with JAVA or C#, SQL, DevOps, Microservices, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), REST, JSON, etc.
  • DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Exposure to cloud-native and cloud-capable architecture and solutions.
  • Experience in Agile Design and development is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
  • Extensive stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • Resourceful and comfortable working in a small team environment where self-sufficiency is essential.
  • Superior interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel, approximately 60%.
  • Experience in Agile Design and development is a plus.
