CGI Federal is seeking a Jr. Software Trainer to join our dynamic team to provide software training and support for a wide range of employees at a federal agency in Alexandria, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for varying aspects of instructional curriculum development in a fast-paced and innovative environment. Trainers are expected to provide classroom and remote training as well as phone, chat room or desk-side assistance for federal staff. In addition, Trainers may also help create computer-based training modules. Experienced teachers/trainers are welcome to apply. Good communication skills, customer service skills, and teamwork skills are a must. We're a close-knit team that has access to global resources. Requirements

  • BA or BS degree from an accredited undergraduate program
  • 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an adult learning environment
  • Customer service and customer satisfaction focus
  • Windows 10, Microsoft Office, and basic computer skills and aptitude
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Must be able to work as scheduled. Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM, but occasionally classes or duties may start as early as 7 AM or finish as late as 8 PM

  • Experience with developing training materials
  • Experience with online learning, remote access, and collaboration tools
  • Experience with technical writing/editing
  • Experience with developing computer-based training or e-learning modules

Responsibilities

  • Successfully complete internal training and stay current on all new automation tools
  • Teach in-person and remote classes as scheduled, meeting requirements of the contract Quality Assurance Plan
  • Provide on-call user support on proper use of all automation tools
  • Carry out scheduled duties to cover Hotline, Chat Room and other support services
  • Create quality instructional materials and perform well on other supplemental projects, as requested
