Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree.
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Math or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel Applications, including expert level experience in Microsoft Word.
  • Experience formatting professional and visually appealing documents.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Work under general supervision; rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with VB.NET and C# programming, reading and use of XML files, x-path syntax, SQL databases and simple SQL queries a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Develop professional forms for insurance companies.
  • Create and format tables in Word documents for use in mail merge functionality.
  • Apply mail merge fields to tables in the documents.
  • Construct proper x-paths from an XML file and maps them to merge fields in the Word document.
  • Perform quality assurance testing and support for assigned products.
  • Troubleshoot problems with merges to determine where breakdown has occurred; repair merges as required.
  • Write VB.NET and C# code as needed for dealing with form triggers and electronic notifications.
  • Understand print system functionality so as to provide recommendations to Business Analysts for system changes as required.
  • Work with the Application Development staff to resolve basic to moderately complex issues.
  • Manage print task lists for customers’ requests and/or reported defects; prioritize and communicate status with customers as needed.
  • Provide daily support to customers and co-workers resolving problems.
  • Maintain good working relationships with counter-parts on the customers’ staff and facilitate discussions to resolve problems.
