This is a serious, hands-on, true entry-level Jr. Security Operations Analyst role. While little to no prior professional cybersecurity experience is expected, strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, discipline, critical thinking, resourcefulness, ownership and personal accountability are mandatory to be successful in this role. This position is designed for someone eager to get their foot in the door, apply themselves fully, take direction and coaching, and prove their capability through results. This is not a passive task execution role, not a “check the box and log off” job, and not suitable for someone looking to do the bare minimum. The right candidate is driven to dig into issues, question assumptions, understand how tools and processes actually work, and actively look for ways to improve security posture, reduce risk, and enhance operational effectiveness. Training will be provided, but success in this role requires initiative, self-learning, and a genuine desire to master the fundamentals before taking on more complex work and projects. The analyst in this role will be closely monitored, coached, and held to clear expectations. Performance is measured on quality, accuracy, judgment, initiative, follow-through, good communication and results, not intentions. This role is intentionally structured to allow motivated analysts to earn additional responsibility and more complex work after mastering core responsibilities.
