What this job involves The Junior Reliability Engineer focuses on ensuring operational reliability, performance consistency, and maintenance optimization of real estate assets. This role combines asset validation expertise with reliability engineering principles to maximize asset uptime, extend equipment lifecycles, and minimize operational disruptions across the portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial), Facilities Management, or related technical field
  • 0-2 years of experience in asset management, facilities, or reliability engineering
  • Understanding of reliability engineering principles and methodologies
  • Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, and basic MATLAB/Python
  • Familiarity with condition monitoring technologies, sensors, and predictive maintenance techniques
  • Knowledge of maintenance management systems (CMMS/EAM)

Nice To Haves

  • Internship experience in maintenance, engineering, or facility operations
  • Fresh graduates with strong technical coursework and demonstrated interest in reliability engineering
  • Basic understanding of IoT devices and building automation systems
  • Experience with vibration analysis, thermal imaging, or other condition monitoring techniques
  • Familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) methodologies
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements for building systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Conduct reliability assessments of building systems and validate Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) data
  • Support implementation of predictive maintenance programs by validating condition monitoring data from sensors and IoT devices
  • Document equipment failures, conduct basic root cause analysis, and create failure trend reports and reliability dashboards
  • Monitor real-time performance of critical building systems and validate operational parameters against design specifications
  • Ensure assets meet reliability and safety standards while maintaining compliance documentation and certifications
  • Analyze vibration, thermal, and performance data for equipment health assessment
  • Track maintenance effectiveness, reliability improvements, and energy efficiency metrics
