About The Position

The Junior Project Analyst provides entry-level program and administrative support to assist with operational reporting, data management, and project coordination activities. This position works on-site daily in Laurel, Maryland and supports program staff by collecting, organizing, and maintaining data used to track operational performance, support reporting requirements, and assist with program evaluation and analysis. In this role, the Junior Project Analyst helps maintain project tracking systems, documentation repositories, and program records that support effective program oversight and decision-making. The position assists with preparing standardized reports, maintaining accurate documentation, organizing research materials, and supporting the collection and validation of program data. The Junior Project Analyst also supports meeting coordination, documentation management, and general administrative activities that help ensure efficient departmental operations and workflow continuity. Working closely with project analysts and program staff, this role contributes to maintaining organized program records, supporting reporting activities, and ensuring that project information is accurate, accessible, and properly maintained.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with relevant work experience OR an Associate’s degree in business administration or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in program support, finance, data entry, reconciliation, or administrative operations preferred.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing data and documentation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured work environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems, processes, and procedures quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare standardized reports, documentation, and supporting materials for program staff and leadership.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain program and operational data to support reporting and analysis activities.
  • Maintain project tracking systems, documentation repositories, and records to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Assist with maintaining organized project documentation and program records.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics including scheduling, preparing materials, and supporting follow-up actions.
  • Archive research materials, documentation, and program records in accordance with established procedures.
  • Attend meetings and assist with documenting action items, meeting notes, and follow-up tasks.
  • Perform administrative and operational support tasks to ensure efficient departmental workflow.
  • Support team members with data entry, documentation management, and routine reporting activities.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate records that support program evaluation, tracking, and analysis.
