About The Position

O’Hagan Meyer is seeking a dynamic Jr. Partner or Senior Associate Attorney with 6-8+ years of experience in Labor & Employment law to join its Philadelphia office. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a legal professional ready to take on increased responsibilities while working on a diverse range of labor and employment matters, including single plaintiff claims and wage & hour class actions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Philadelphia and New Jersey labor laws and regulations, exemplary communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • 6-8+ years of experience in Labor & Employment law.
  • Strong understanding of Philadelphia and New Jersey labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Admission to the NY Bar is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of complex & sophisticated litigation, including defending employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, wrongful termination and/or negligent hiring.
  • Draft pleadings, substantive motions and written discovery; develop litigation strategy; conduct large-scale document reviews and productions; work directly with clients; communicate with opposing counsel; and second-chair trials, depositions and/or evidentiary hearings.
  • Draft persuasive, clear and effective pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, mediation statements, orders and settlement agreements.
  • Manage multiple matters efficiently and produce exceptional work product under tight deadlines.
  • Build relationships with the Firm’s current clients and develop additional client relationships and business.
