About the position

We are looking for a dedicated Jr. Outreach Engineer to support EV charging station incentive programs! This role involves reviewing applications, conducting site inspections, verifying technical specifications, and assisting customers and trade allies. This role is based at our DNV office in New Mexico, presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify technical merits of EV charging station incentive applications, including compliance with the Transportation Electrification Program (TEP) terms and verification of technical specifications.
  • Perform customer site inspections to verify the installation of EV charging station equipment and associated infrastructure.
  • Interact with customers to address questions or concerns about installed equipment or programmatic information.
  • Processing of customer applications including payment processing.
  • Perform database queries and program data analysis to verify application details.
  • Review detailed engineering specifications and drawings.
  • Provide technical assistance in the form of trainings, formal presentations, and one-on-one face time to support project implementation for participating customers and Trade Allies.
  • Respond to all technical inquiries regarding PNM's programs, services, and incentives relating to EV charging station incentives.
  • Participation and assist in management of program events.
  • Provide flexible support to other team members on an as-needed basis.
  • Work in a safe manner with attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required, with an educational emphasis on energy, utilities, and/or transportation strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint knowledge required.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills for customer communication required.
  • Individual should display a positive, team-oriented attitude to match our friendly work environment.
  • Reliable transportation required; must be able to meet the requirements to drive for company business.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, up to 25% of the time.
  • Position will require onsite inspections and walking of the customer's locations, which may include active construction sites. Ability to navigate these sites safely is required.
  • Need a reliable transportation and driving license.
  • Pre-employment drug and background screening.
