About The Position

OASYS, INC., a Leading Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking applicants for a Jr-Mid Level Software Developer to support our DoD customer on Redstone Arsenal. Job Responsibilities include: The Jr-Mid Level Software Engineer will work closely with a highly technical team of product managers, systems and software engineers and scientists developing advanced software capabilities and technical solutions for a mission planning system. Principal Duties and Responsibilities include the design, development, test, and implementation of state-of-the-art software/systems platforms and integration components based to support building secure, high-performing web application and systems integration components to address complex and evolving mission planning requirements within a high velocity Agile environment; analysis of user's software program needs and assist in troubleshooting; the design and development of software using basic compilers, assemblers, utility programs and operating systems; and the implementation of pillars of DevSecOps to mature Continuous Integration, Delivery, and Deployment (CI/CD) workflows.

Requirements

3+ years of software design experience
Experience with JavaScript or Typescript or other web technologies/services
An understanding of basic software design based on Object Oriented Programming principles
Some knowledge/experience with application programming interfaces
Experience with current operating systems and development tools (i.e. JIRA, BitBucket)
Ability to interact effectively with individuals of different experience levels and backgrounds including government and external industry personnel
Good understanding or have worked with Vue or other modern framework, like React or Angular
Experience with using a development environment such as VSCode
Understanding of Git or some other code version control and tools
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other STEM discipline, however, years of experience may be substituted for a degree
Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
An Active Secret Clearance is highly desired
