Join us and be part of our success! Bachoco USA is seeking a Jr. Maintenance Trainee for our Fort Smith, AR Central Offices. Summary: The Jr. Maintenance Trainee will learn and master all aspects of Bachoco USA poultry process. Trainees will not only gain hands-on experience in the poultry processing industry but also gain the knowledge and engineering skills to build upon long term career in engineering. Trainees will be challenged throughout the training program to perform on-the-job tasks, complete assignments, demonstrate learning mastery, develop, and demonstrate competencies and gain a working knowledge of the operational excellence required in each facet of the organization.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to relocate upon completion of the training program.
  • Must be available to work various shifts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from four-year college or university in engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Industrial or Mechanical).
  • No experience required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software; Word Processing software.
  • Must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and must qualify for the company driver program.
  • Highly organized and able to think systemically to structure the work and design in a logical flow.
  • Other key attributes include self-motivated, organized, computer literate, attention to detail and follow through with exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • Must be wiling to relocate once training plan is completed.
  • Must be willing to work various shifts.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English / Spanish is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Rotates through sessions throughout various departments to gain hands on management experience in the poultry industry and an understanding of fully integrated operations systems.
  • Performs on-the-job tasks with plant operations.
  • Completes assignments and coordinates daily activities with department leader.
  • Understands company specifications on all products and proper operating in a safe and quality environment to achieve goals of performance.
  • Follow any and all directives set forth by senior manager.
  • Develops and demonstrates management competencies.
  • Gains a management knowledge of poultry operations.
