Requirements

Must be able to operate a forklift
Strong communications skills
One (2) year or more experience in mechanics working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment
Possess a valid driver’s license
High school. AS or AA degree preferred
Experience using machinery
Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
Perform tasks such as lifting 50-100 pound with assistance, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up work in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment
Physical ability to walk and stand on concrete for the duration of the work shift, in increments of up to 6-8 hours.

Nice To Haves

Understanding electrical and mechanical schematics a plus
Fluent in Spanish a plus
Experience with pneumatics hydraulics, electronics, and welding is a plus
Experience with roll-forming a plus, not necessary

Responsibilities

Operating out of our Perth Amboy location, you will be required to assist with warehousing operations.
Required to travel to any one of our other locations to assist their mechanics with overflow business, open houses or as fill in for vacations in critical situations, as well as traveling to customers workshop and job sites, 30% Travel required.
Providing specialized technical support to customers that own and operate pro-table roll-forming equipment. Gutter and Roofing Machines. Installing, inspecting, troubleshooting and providing maintenance and training in the use of this equipment is the basis of this job.
Required to write service reports, provide billing advice, and maintain good notes in our Infor system on each customer you interface with.
Respond to and/or investigate material claims in your territory as requested by our corporate technical support group.
Scheduling and monitoring ticket system with reaching out to customers for parts needed.
Provide billing statements for work performed.
Maintain customer account information in our Infor system.
Roll-forming Equipment Setup and Training, Trouble Shooting & Maintenance.
Involved in end of years inventory cycle counts quarterly.
Assist sales reps in presenting equipment to prospective buyers.
Liaison between field sales reps and technical services group on machine issues
Liaison between clients and corporate services group on quality issues.
In-House Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine service tasks and assist with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs on machinery at our facility.
Equipment Prep: Ensure machines are clean, lubricated, and properly staged for production or field deployment.
Inventory Management: Organize and track spare parts and specialized tools.
Technical Documentation: Assist in documenting repair logs and service reports.
Shop Support: Assist Senior Machine Mechanic with prep work and equipment testing prior to site installations.
Learning & Development: Actively train on PLC systems, 3-phase power, and hydraulic calibration.
