The Jr. Machine Learning / Data Scientist will be instrumental in assisting our team in solving complicated problems through data analysis. This person will collaborate closely with our data architect, analytics, and engineering teams to create, build, and improve machine learning models and data-driven solutions. This person will also assist with researching and evaluating off-the-shelf AI technologies and solutions to speed up our development process.

  • Work closely with data architects, analysts, and information technology to collect, clean, and preprocess data to build high-quality datasets for analysis and model development.
  • Research and evaluate off-the-shelf AI products and tools, such as pre-built machine learning models, frameworks, and cloud-based solutions, to integrate into the development pipeline where applicable.
  • Assist in the design, training, and evaluation of machine learning software and models, including supervised and unsupervised learning techniques.
  • Assist with identifying relevant features and transforming raw data into meaningful inputs for data analytics and machine learning algorithms used across the Company.
  • Assist in analyzing model performance with relevant metrics and optimizing for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Document methodologies, experiments, and findings clearly, and present results to stakeholders in an understandable and actionable format.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineers, analysts, product owners, IT, and software developers) to implement data-driven solutions.
  • Assist other departments with various projects when time permits.
  • Perform all duties so as to meet the responsibilities listed in the Employee and Corporate HSE Handbooks.
  • Perform duties according to the Company's quality system procedures and work instructions.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or similar discipline.
  • Master's or PhD in data science, machine learning, AI, applied statistics, or computational science (recommended).
  • Experience with data-oriented programming languages, statistical software, and database software.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of machine learning and deep learning methods and techniques.
